Our asset recovery process is designed to be hassle free and low effort for you. Once you request a collection or quote, we handle everything from logistics and pick-up to secure data erasure and responsible recycling. We coordinate packing, transport, and reporting, so your internal team doesn’t need to manage the details.

We use GDPR-compliant certified data erasure on all devices, including those sent for recycling, and this process is backed by ISO 27001 information security certification. That means data is securely wiped to industry standards before devices leave our facilities.

Yes, we can provide you with an initial valuation or quote based on the details you share about your equipment (models, condition, quantities).

We provide worldwide asset recovery services across multiple regions, ensuring secure collection no matter where your assets are located.
We do not provide services in countries subject to sanctions, embargoes, or similar trade restrictions.

Pricing is based on fair market value principles: factors like brand, age, condition, specifications, and current demand in the secondary market influence the value of each unit.

The final payout depends on the device’s condition and market demand. Working devices that can be refurbished and resold at good prices yield the highest returns, while units that go to parts recovery or recycling may have lower material value.

Fees for cage-rental, handling and data erasure will also be deducted before you receive the final amount.

T1A combines deep industry expertise, certified processes, and commitment to data security and circularity. We’ve been in the refurbishing and asset recovery business for 25 years, operate with multiple ISO certifications, and focus on maximizing value while minimizing risk.

Over 90% of the equipment we collect is refurbished and given a second life, while approximately 10% is responsibly recycled. We always prioritise reuse and refurbishment where possible and only recycle equipment that can’t be safely or economically refurbished. This approach maximises value recovery for you while minimising environmental impact.

You will receive payment no later than 90 days after approval of the settlement report.

Yes, we collect all assets. Even units that aren’t fit for refurbishment and resale can be harvested for parts, ensuring minimal waste and supporting circularity.

“Book a cage” refers to scheduling a secure container (cage) delivery to your site for pick-up of IT equipment. We will contact you to get all information before sending the cage to you.

Yes, if you prefer a refurbishment and return option, we can assess you with that service.

There’s no catch. The value recovery process is built around real secondary market demand for used IT equipment. Asset recovery creates tangible returns through resale, refurbishment, parts recovery, and responsible recycling, all while protecting your data and improving circularity.

If you change your mind after requesting services, just contact us as soon as possible and we’ll work with you to adjust or cancel the engagement based on where your project is in the workflow.

Request a collection

1. Request a collection

2. Planning & Pick up

We are a Danish company with a global network of logistics partners, enabling us to coordinate collections for any customer, wherever you are 
in the world.

3. Equipment Registration

Once the equipment arrives at our Denmark based production facilities, we register each individual unit in our database. This helps to ensure accurate handling throughout the entire process.

4. Cleaning Process

We manually clean each unit, removing dirt and dust, as well as any stickers, labels and other physical markings. This ensures the equipment is clean, neutral, and ready for its next owner.

5. Secure Data Erasure

The safe erasure of your sensitive data is our top priority. We carry out a GDPR compliant data erasure process on each unit, completely wiping sensitive data and ensuring full anonymisation.

6. Functionality Check & Grading

Once we’ve cleaned and anonymised each unit, 
we check performance and quality to ensure it meets our standards. This is when our technicians determine how to grade the physical condition 
of the unit.

7. Settlement and Payment

Once the condition of your units is determined,
we calculate your final payment amount, which includes a small deduction to cover the costs of our extensive assessment process. The final amount is then transferred to your preferred account.

8. Refurbishment & Recycling

Your equipment will now go through our full refurbishment process and put into inventory. 
Any equipment that cannot be reused is sent for certified environmentally safe recycling.

9. Second life

Your equipment will be given a second life through our distributors and retailers across Europe, creating value and supporting learning, work, and everyday life in schools, homes, and businesses.
